Cauliflower All Year ( Brassica oleracea ) is one of the most popular and more hardy of the cauliflower varieties. It is not as its name suggests; able to be grown well all year round … but has excellent flavour and is reliable as long as it is planted at the right times of year (like all cauliflowers).

Cold to Tropical Climate

Cauliflower All Year ( Brassica oleracea ) is one of the most popular and more hardy of the cauliflower varieties. It is not as its name suggests; able to be grown well all year round … but has excellent flavour and is reliable if it is planted at the right times of year (like all cauliflowers). This variety can be planted from late summer for longer harvests, but again; like all cauliflowers the best harvests; are during the cooler months of the year.

The Cauliflower All Year, like all cauliflowers are very nutritious and have many health benefits; they are a source of vitamin K, calcium, vitamin C, iron, magnesium, folate, dietary fibre, and potassium among other nutritional bonuses. They also have health benefits for circulation, digestion, strong bones, brain health and as a cancer fighting food!

Growth

This plant grows up to around 30 cm’s tall and 45 cm’s wide, the cauliflower all year is white and has good leaf coverage that protect the vegetable well; but we would still recommend tying the leaves overhead once the cauliflower starts to develop.

A moist, well-draining soil is needed, that is rich in nutrients – organic chicken manure is great addition to your soil. Cauliflower all Year is ready to harvest between 110-150 days dependent on conditions. Cauliflower can be grown in containers / pots.

We always recommend growing your food organically, so when fertilising or trying to keep pests under control, keep in mind that there are always organic options. Your body and family will thank you!
