Growth

The Chrysanthemum Rainbow Mix grow to approximately 60 cm’s tall and 25 cm’s wide. They do not take up a lot of room, which makes them great for filling gaps in the garden. They can also be grown in pots. Chrysanthemum prefers a moist well-draining, nutrient rich soil in either a full sun or part shade position, afternoon shade is preferred in hotter climates.

The daisy-like flowers can be on display from seed within 12 weeks, generally flowering in Autumn but this can be dependent on sowing times and climate. The flowers are around 6 cm’s in diameter and as mentioned above comes in large range of mixed colours. The unique character of both bi-colour and tri-colour petals, generally towards the base of each petal form symmetrical band/s around the centre of the flower.

Flowers have a long life once they are cut, so are a great addition if you like to enjoy flowers in a vase indoors as well. As an annual they will die off during winter but will reseed usually before dying, so will generally grow back the following year as weather allows.
