This section covers terms and conditions relating to all orders made on The Seed Vine website.

Seed and Plant Prices

Many of our seed varieties come from plants we grow ourselves on our small hobby farm while some are obtained from suppliers both in Australia and overseas. All prices stated on this website are in Australian dollars and are GST inclusive unless stated otherwise. All of our prices include standard un-tracked delivery.

Seed Instructions

Every seed type listed on our website includes germination instructions within the product page, under the tab called Germination Instructions. These instructions are written in good faith with the purpose of giving our customers the best chance of success. Please read the instructions prior to purchasing and follow them as closely as possible.

To help save our time and your money, we do not send paper instructions with our orders. Instead, all orders include instructions in the order confirmation email via PDF downloadable links. See an example on our FAQs page.

Seed Counts

Seed counts are approximate and provided as a guide only. Where possible, we usually try to add a few extras in to counter Mother Nature’s randomness.

Seeds Use

Our seeds are to be used for propagation only. Any reference to edible seed refers to the resultant crop only.

Order Acceptance

All orders placed through this website are subject to confirmation and acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone or cancel any order at any time. We will indicate the acceptance of an order by processing and shipping the ordered items to you.

Payment

We currently accept payments via Paypal and Bank Transfer only. Bank Transfer details are available during checkout. Please include invoice number to help speed up the processing and allow a couple of extra days for funds to clear.

Cancelling Orders

Please choose your products carefully and review your order before making payment. We attempt to fulfill our orders as fast as possible. Which means the order could already be in transit should you wish to cancel an order.

Availability

We aim to keep our inventory as accurate as possible. However from time to time errors may occur and we may not be able to fulfill an order. In this instance we will refund the customers for any omitted items and process the remainder of the order if applicable.

We will never substitute an item. If we don’t have it in stock, we won’t send you something you didn’t order.

Plants and seeds are living objects and are therefore subject to variations in quality or condition. The most likely reasons that we cannot fulfill an order would be:

– Stock has run out.
– The Stock is not up to the high standards we set.

Customers will be advised via email on an estimated timeline of the seed type and given priority when stock is replenished.

Customer Information

During the checkout process, customers are required to provide us with information necessary to process an order such as name, shipping address and email address. Please make sure the information you submit is correct as we will not be held responsible for any errors or lost orders that occur due to incorrect information.

Delivery

All orders are processed and posted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (except on NSW Public Holidays when we post the next business day). Generally, orders made prior to 10am on a Monday will be sent on Monday. Orders made after 10am on Monday will usually be sent on Wednesday.
Payment must be cleared before the goods are dispatched. We rely on the delivery services of Australia Post and international couriers to deliver our orders; for this reason we cannot guarantee a delivery time frame. 

Anyone at the delivery address who receives the goods will be presumed by us to be authorised to receive the goods.

International Orders

As of December 2022, The Seed Vine is no longer sending any seeds or plants to international addresses. We are very sorry for the inconvenience to our international customers. Prior to December 2022, we had sent almost 10,000 orders to over 90 different countries.

Refunds

The Seed Vine aims to supply seeds and plants of high quality and as described in the product descriptions. If we fail to meet any of these standards we will happily provide you with a replacement or refund. This is in accordance with and aligned with current Australian Laws.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

No warranty, either express or implied, is given in relation to the goods and any liability arising out of or in respect of the supply, re-supply, use, re-use, or safety of the goods, howsoever arising, and including any liability the Supplier may otherwise have had by virtue of any representation, warranty, condition or term, whether express or implied by law or custom and whether for consequential loss, loss of profits or contracts, or loss of use or for any direct, indirect or consequential loss (including any liability in relation to the resultant crop) or otherwise is hereby excluded.

Information Provided

All information provided by The Seed Vine including but not limited to: cultural advice, treatments, images and descriptions are provided “as is” and in good faith. 

The information is for general information purposes only; while we endeavour to keep the information up to date and correct, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the website or the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the website for any purpose. Any reliance you place on such information is therefore strictly at your own risk.

In no event will we be liable for any loss or damage including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of, or in connection with, the use of this website.

QUARANTINE

Due to Quarantine restrictions in some states and territories some of our seed and plant products are restricted. If you accidentally purchase a product that is restricted in your state, we will remove it from your order and provide you with a refund. If applicable, the remainder of your order will be processed.

The most common restrictions in Australia are for customers living in the states of Western Australia and Tasmania. Please check out Western Australia and Tasmania’s quarantine pages prior to making an order.
