The Graf Zeppelin Tomato is believed to have been originally bred in Latin America but by who and when; we do not know. Some quote it as an heirloom variety from the Andes and although this is quite possibly accurate, the name suggests it is more likely from Europe. There is very little information available regarding this varieties history but what we do know is that it has been around for at least a few decades and that it is a delicious, openly pollinated, good producing variety.

Growth

The Graf Zeppelin Tomato plant is a medium growing plant that will reach up to approximately 1.2m (4 feet) high and 70cm (2.3 feet) in width. This variety is determinate with a bushy type of growth and is best given some staked support for best growth.

The fruit averages in size between 4-6 cm’s, with firm, red skin when mature. Labelled by some as a top producer, it certainly is quite a decent crop producing bush in good conditions.

Suitable for growing in pots & for smaller garden spaces.
