FACTS ABOUT ALLIUM CEPA (Onion Nashik Red)

The Nashik Red Onion is one of the most cultivated onion varieties in the world. Its name is derived from the main region in India from which they are grown. Nashik in Maharashtra is a proud agricultural area and is also a primary contributor to India’s wine industry.

Onions have an inbuilt survival instinct that causes a release of gas during cutting. This gas is irritating to our eyes and triggers tears to flush out the irritant.
